The package from Japan

Not living in Japan, I didn’t have a chance to enter the contest, so my only option was to buy one on the secondary market. For two years I kept a lookout for anyone who had a Gold Optimus Prime. I searched auction sites, went to conventions and asked other Transformers collectors.

I finally got a lucky break when I found a dealer in Japan who knew a collector who had one. As for the price, let’s just say it wasn’t cheap. Two weeks later I went down to the post office to pick up a nice big package.
