Still in the box

Carefully removed from the box, here is Optimus Prime still strapped in with twist ties, waiting to be released. The box itself can be “transformed” into a trailer, and a later release of Masterpiece Optimus Prime included a plastic one. That makes sense, as the toy is already quite big and weighs over two pounds with all the metal in it.

There was a lot of talk about Masterpiece Optimus Prime from the moment it was announced. Instantly recognisable as the cartoon version, even non-collectors were eager to get their hands on one.
